Description: Displays boundaries around sensitive water asbuilt areas. Data displaying within this area should not be distributed outside the City of Bellevue.
Description: Hydrants that are either in other jurisdictions, are private, or are temporary place holders for hydrants found by the Fire Department in their annual hydrants survey but not yet digitized by the Utilities staff from As-Built drawings. An annual review of this layer between GIS and Utilities staff will be accomplished to rectify the issues of any discrepancies between this feature class and the UTIL.W_Hydrants feature class. The goal is that there should be no duplication between this feature class and the UTIL.W_Hydrants featureclass. This feature class should only contain hydrants that are not in UTIL.W_Hydrants or are in dispute or are newly added before the Utilities staff has time to enter them into their system.

Description: Pressure zones are discrete sub-areas within the water system that have their own local hydraulic grade (HGL). HGL represents the water surface elevation that water would rise to if a tank is connected to the zone (HGL is not the ground elevation). Pressure varies throughout each pressure zone based on the local ground elevation.Pressure zone polygons indicate the customers that are served by each pressure zone, but not necessarily all the pipes and other facilities or assets associated with the pressure zone. It is common for piping from one pressure zone to pass through areas served by another pressure zone to connect customers to their needed pressure.A comprehensive system wide evaluation was conducted as part of the "2020 Pressure Zone Update Project" conducted in November 2021. This project was initiated to align with requirements with the Washington State Department of Health following an engineering analysis to address system deficiencies or to serve new development. Also addressed are risks where zones are confusing, obsolete, and/or inconsistent settings and names. The result of these edits is 73 distinct pressure zones for a total of 77 polygons. This includes one additional polygon for Beaux Arts jurisdiction and three zones with two polygons (BV400, HV1175, SS1000).

Description: Latecomer agreements initiate when new utilities are installed, for example, on new construction, that are advantageous for neighboring properties to use and share the costs of the installation.
Description: Data was created by GTS staff in consultation with Bellevue Utilities Department staff Doug Lane, Water & Sewer Systems Sr. Engineer, and Astri Niederkorn, Hydraulic Model Engineering Technician, from existing shapefiles and by digitizing features from wastewater interlocal agreement documents. Internal O&M and Engineering city staff, regulators, and other utilities will use this layer to understand and verify inter-local wastewater flows, since other GIS layers do not allude to this actual flow to/from our system. It’s important for awareness, especially in the case where the city needs to do shutdowns or bypasses

Description: This dataset depict slopes greater than 40% with areas greater than 1000 square feet. It was developed from a DEM that was compiled by the consultant Geoterra using the 2016 LiDAR.
Description: These data contain polygons that provide information regarding the relative liquefaction potential for Washington State. This feature class is part of a geodatabase that contains statewide ground response data for Washington State. Other feature classes are seismic_design_class_d, seismic_design_site_class, and seismic_site_class. Liquefaction is a natural phenomenon in which saturated, sandy soils lose their strength and behave as liquid. Liquefaction is a caused by severe ground shaking during earthquake events. Polygons are classified as having 'very low' to 'high' relative liquefaction susceptibility. Areas underlain by bedrock or peat are mapped separately as these earth materials are not liquefiable, although peat deposits may be subject to permanent ground deformation caused by earthquake shaking and require site-specific analysis under the International Building Code. Water and ice are also separately designated. Liquefaction susceptibility is assigned based on criteria described in: Palmer, Stephen P.; Magsino, Sammantha L.; Bilderback, Eric L.; Poelstra, James L.; Folger, Derek S.; Niggemann, Rebecca A., 2007, Liquefaction susceptibility and site class maps of Washington State, by county: Washington Division of Geology and Earth Resources Open File Report 2004-20, 78 plates, with 45 p. text. Description: This feature class contains polygons describing the infiltration potential of areas within the City of Bellevue where infiltration may be feasible. This feature class was prepared as part of the Technical Memorandum, Task 3, Mapping Areas Feasible for Infiltration prepared for the City of Bellevue Utilities Department by Associated Earth Sciences, Inc.Attributes of this feature class include the fields “INFILTRATION_POTENTIAL” and “GEOLOGY_AND_SOIL_PERMEABILITY”. The INFILTRATION_POTENTIAL field describes the infiltration potential of the area as “HIGH”, “MEDIUM”, “MEDIUM-LOW”, or “LOW”, as discussed in the Technical Memorandum. The GEOLOGY_AND_SOIL_PERMEABILITY field describes the permeability of the mapped geologic units and the mapped soils units in that area. The assignment of INFILTRATION_POTENTIAL category was based on these permeabilities. The assignment of high and low permeability to geologic and soils units is discussed in the Technical Memorandum
Description: This feature class contains a polygon describing the area within the City of Bellevue where infiltration is not feasible, per the Infiltration Infeasibility Analysis and Technical Report, prepared for the City of Bellevue Utilities Department by Associated Earth Sciences, Inc. This polygon was generated by combining all polygons describing infeasible areas generated as part of that report, and dissolving them into a single polygon. This feature class is included here for map display purposes, to cover areas not covered by polygons in the AESI_Bellevue_Infiltration_Potential_Areas feature class. This feature class was prepared as part of the Technical Memorandum, Task 3, Mapping Areas Feasible for Infiltration prepared for the City of Bellevue Utilities Department by Associated Earth Sciences, Inc.

Description: This dataset enumerates the impervious surfaces of Bellevue, WA and its surrounding area as of late spring 2012. Surfaces are classified into 8 categories, depending on structure and use. The dataset was manually digitized from 3-inch resolution true-color aerial photography, and includes all surfaces, including those obscured by canopy in the orthoimagery. The minimum mapping unit (MMU), indicating the smallest feature delineated, was 100 sq. ft. The dataset was updated from an earlier dataset produced in 2008, using 2007 orthoimagery.
Description: Displays 20 foot buffer of downtown perimeter overlays. Perimeter buffers are measured 20 feet back from either the curb or the sidewalk and are either adjacent to the ROW or not adjacent to the ROW.

Description: Displays line data representing 2021-2025 pavement seal or overlay candidates within the City of Bellevue. Pavement Seal – a mixture of asphalt emulsion, crushed rock and water is applied to the surface of the roadway to fill small cracks and provide a new wearing surface. This is typically for local roads that are in good condition and takes about a day or two to complete. Pavement Overlay – the top surface (typically 2-3 inches) of the roadway is ground off and replaced with new asphalt. This is done for local and arterial roads in fair to poor condition and takes about a week to complete.

Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>With the cost of renting or owning housing in Bellevue rising faster than income for many in the region, housing is not affordable to many people. The City Council recognizes that it is critically important to provide a safe, healthy and affordable place to live for people of all income levels to sustain Bellevue's livability and economic vitality. Finding affordable housing can be a confusing process. This inventory is meant to be used in GIS web maps and applications to help with the process of identifying details for each site. </SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>

Description: Location and names of major streams within Bellevue's map extent, including characteristics. The sources are original digitized stream data, ortho photographs, LIDAR, and field checks.
Description: 2 foot contours were generated by GeoTerra, using 2016 LiDAR from PSLC (Puget Sound Lidar Consortium), supplemented with photogrammetrically-collected breaklines. Breaklines were added along major roadways and significant retaining walls, and the DEM was hydrologically enforced using waterlines. The contours were smoothed and generalized to create a more usable, cartographically-pleasing product. Contours with length less than 60 feet were deleted. (Update April 5, 2017)
